I suspect if you’d put the actual Bolsheviks in charge, they knew that - the trust fund socialists are a little more disconnected from reality, and the Mayor is the nepo-baby son of multimillionaires.
If you intended India - it was supposed to be more a brute-force "put it in the bank or else" kind of scenario.
India's Communists - the Naxalites - probably also knew better, they've been doing their best to kick off a revolution for about sixty years. Couple decades ago it sounded sort of plausible. These days I think there aren't many of them left. Maybe they've all moved to New York hahaha
